Hi I have a question: If I will cross to Germany and get the chance to go to Berlin, since I am a filmmaker with a lot of records with filmfestivals and publications, will there be a chance that I can get the freelance visa if ever a production house will or an artist residency will hire me for 1 year even I applied my asylum in Italy?

Thanks

Dear @AndreiRublev, thank you for sharing your situation with us. As for your question: If you have applied for asylum in Italy and the case is not over yet and then you come to Germany, then the Dublin Regulation will apply. That means that Germany will send you back. If you have been granted asylum in Italy, then the best and the legal way would be to apply for a work permit at the German Embassy in Italy and then come to Germany. I hope this could guide you, if you need further informations please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Best regards, Nilab
