Hello Guys.
If I was in one of the Dublin countries as a legal resident(with a temporary resident(not as asylum)), and I later I left the EU member states; and because of some situation, I return to Germany to seek asylum. Will they process me or will they send me back to the previous country I was in?

And during the asylum, will I be given a chance to study in a department of my choice?

Hello @Johnson, thank you for your question and joining us in the community. As for your question: If you have already a legal status in another safe, member state your Asylum will be rejected due to Dublin, only under some circumstances the authorities might allow you to stay in Germany, such as marriage with a German partner or a job. However in those two cases the right procedure would be not an asylum claim, but the application either for family unification or working visa. I hope we could help you, if you have further question please do not hesitate to contact us. Best regards, Nilab
