Hello everyone. If I come to Germany in two weeks is it possible to apply for paragraph 24 protection? I am Ukrainian citizen, living in Ukraine the whole my life. On the 24.02.2024 I was in Ukraine. Thank you a lot

Hi @Inna

Yes, if you have a biometric passport or a Ukrainian ID, then you can still enter Germany after 04.03.2024 and apply for paragraph 24 protection.

There was a special rule put it place which is no longer in force since 04.03.2024. This, however, was more relevant for non-Ukrainian citizens entering Germany. Separate from that rule, Ukrainians have the right to enter the EU without a visa for up to 90 days. You must then apply for paragraph 24 before these 90 days are over.

Best,
