Hi @Vega,

If your situation as a family remains the same as it is now, your permit 25 Abs. 5 will be extended.

After 5 years of living in Germany with a residence permit, it is possible to apply for permanent residency (Niederlassungserlaubnis). A central requirement for this, however, is that you are able to financially support yourself and your family without receiving any support from the Jobcenter.

It is not possible to become a German citizen with the permit 25 Abs. 5. You must first obtain a different type of permit, also including the Niederlassungserlaubnis, before getting citizenship.
