I live in Regensburg and i want to apply for an integration course.my asylum application is still pending as i haven't done my court hearing yet. In the Regensburg integrate app ,its mentioned that "An asylum applicant with a good chance of being permitted to remain in Germany (= You come from Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria" is eligible for taking the course. But in the bamf general website ,iraq is not mentioned within these countries. So as Iraqi ,is there a way to get into an integration course or do I have to wait for a decision on my asylum application.

Dear @Azad003,

Welcome back to the Wefugees Community and thank you for your question.

Unfortunately, the general BAMF website is providing the correct information in this case. That means that only asylum applicants from Syria, Eritrea, Somalia and Afghanistan can enroll in a so-called "Integration Course" already during the pending asylum procedure (if their case is not considered as Dublin case). I double-checked with this overview by the GGUA.

Sorry that I can not provide more positive information here. I really hope that you find alternative ways to study the language in the meantime. Otherwise, please also don't hesitate to get back to us on this or with any further question.

All the best,

Meike

Thanks for the response. Do you know what would happen if the decision on my application is negative? Would I be able to get the integration course with a Duldung?
