Is there a maximum age for doing a “Ausbildung”? Why does no employer accept my application?

Hello,

i am 38 year old. I have 7 years experience as cook but I have not taken any qualification before. I want to find Ausbildungsplätze for start my training. I sent my CV to more than 25 places, even though I don’t have any positive answer. I called to many places and when they asked my age they don’t happy to give me an opportunity. I want to know age is really matter to start education??? I don’t understand why don’t have possibility to offer??? Age or refugee status effective to find a place???

ich kann dir nur den Rat geben, dich nicht entmutigen zu lassen. Mein Freund ist auch Flüchtling, ist 34 und hat vor  zwei Jahre eine Ausbildung zum Koch begonnen.

Ja, er ist der Älteste in seiner Berufsschulklasse, aber sicher auch der fleißigste, weil er weiß, worum es geht . Hast du die Hilfe des Job Centers in Anspruch genommen um freie Stellen zu finden?
