Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this questions. If you have a mini job on the side of a regular job, does the mini job get taxed, or is it just untaxed "income"?

Have a fantastic day and thanks a lot :)

Hello @Mirco,

you usually have to pay taxes for pension insurance. But you can apply for exemption from this. See detailed information on Finanzip.de: ****://tinyurl.***/llz3ejf (Text is in German).
See a compact information on 'minijob-zentrale.de': ****://tinyurl.***/m8g3fkr (German)

Kind regards

Hi Jan, just the pension insurance? Can you tell me how much it is? My German is not good enough to understand the text in your link
You have only to pay for the pension insurance, nothing in addition. If you have a short-term minijob, you even don't have to pay this tax, if you have a 450-Euro-Minijob you normally have to pay. How much is depending in which sector you are working: private household minijob: 13,7% pension insurance,
commercial minijob: 3,7 % pension insurance.
Thanks a lot :)
Thank you for the information @Jan
