**Step 01 - Get your brain in shape**

Okay let's start with our language learning adventure. In the very beginning it is absolutely necessary to build a speech center. You can compare it with a computer. To save your work, you need a hard drive (storage). Accordingly you need a speech center where you can save your new language, German!

*How do I build a speech center?*

Good thing, it is very easy! Just listen, listen and listen to the German language! Your brain does the rest. Seriously, even if you don't understand a single word, just listen, listen and listen.

This way you get used to the sound of the language and you will pretty soon see that you start realizing where words start and end.

*Any hacks to build a speech centre?*

There are different ways to get a lot of exposure to the German language. In the beginning it might be the easiest just to go out sit somewhere and listen. If you prefer a digital way here is a good idea:

Go to YouTube and search for "kindergeschichte hörbuch" which shows you a list of children audio books (always good because easy vocabulary is used and they speak slowly.)

* How long do I have to listen to the German language *

The more you listen, the better it is. In any way make sure to listen at least two hours a day to your foreign language!

That's it for step 01! Start building your speech centre and get your brain set up right. Believe me, it is the best start to learn German fast!
