Dear all
First thank all of you for your efforts.
I arrive to germany with my husband and my sister on 10-2-2016 and we made the interview in Bielefeld in 23-2-2016 and we have the green ausweise and now we are in the last transfer, we are in Köln
We finished the registration with the sozial and we have the house paper but we still in camp for now
1. We would like to know what's going on with our residency? Where we can ask about it?
2. We are trying to find an apartment in Köln and would like to know if there is any government office can help us

Dear Majd,

I Hope you are doing fine!
To help you find a room in Cologne, I think the "koordinierungsstelle Auszugsmanagement" can be very helpful for you. They are helping you to find a flat and support you. Their telephone number is: 0221/22123397

Concerning your residency, I think it would be good for you to contact an institution which provides the help of volunteers that know about the procedures in Cologne.
The flüchtlingsrat Köln can help you. Their address is: Haus der evangelischen Kirche, Kartäusergasse 9-11, 50678 Köln
Phone: 02213382249

I really hope you will get help as soon as possible. Don't hesitate to contact us again

Best

Hi Majd,

Henny´s answer is pretty informative! Let us know how it goes. I found a list of other counseling services in Köln as well:

From Diakonie Köln:

Susanne Pack
Telefon 0221-160 38-69
susanne.pack(at)diakonie-koeln.de
Sprachen: Englisch, Portugiesisch, Französisch

Martina Domke
Telefon 0221/160 38-26
martina.domke(at)diakonie-koeln.de
Sprachen: Englisch, Französisch

Ana Jawad-Pietsch
Telefon 0221/160 38-59
ana.jawad-pietsch(at)diakonie-koeln.de
Sprachen: Dari, Persisch, Englisch, Französisch

Birgit Pikullik
Telefon: 0221/160 38-42
birgit.pikullik(at)diakonie-koeln.de
Sprache: Englisch

And there is a map here of other places to seek advice in Köln. I think as Henny said, it is a good idea to get in contact with those in the area that will be more knowledgable about Köln specifically.

All the best :)
