Vaterschaft without legal status

Greetings to all

I am staying illegally in Germany since 2019. Never applied for asylum or anything. I had Swiss visa and I entered Germany on Schengen visa. My girlfriend is 1 month pregnant. We have an appointment on 13.09.2023 with the Frauen Arzt. Can I apply for Vaterschaft after my child is born or do I have to register before my child’s birth. I have my passport with me. I’m willing to wait till my child is born. Is it possible?

You can do the Vaterschaftsanerkennung after the birth.
