When I got to the Ausländerbehörde I was asked of my biometric photo in which I provided and I was later asked to place my fingers on the little machine for fingerprint does this mean my application to secure a resident permit as a parent of a German has been granted because I was asked to go get my travel passport from my home office and bring it to them, kindly get back to me with an answer. Dear @fawaz,

Thank you for sharing your question with the Wefugees Community!

Of course we can not provide any forecast on the procedures of an immigration office in general and based on very few information. But for my understanding, all mentioned factors could indicate the issuing of a residence permit according to Section 28 (1) No 3 of the German Residence Act/"Subsequent immigration of dependants to join a German national; parent of a minor, unmarried German for the purpose of care and custody".

I also read in your profile description, that you paid 100 Euro to the immigration office, which is, i.e. in Berlin, the maximum fee for the issuing of a residence permit.

Maybe members of the community can also share their experiences here.

However, do not hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.

All the best,

Meike
