Which Authority in Germany issue Führungszeugnis? How long will l wait to approve my Führungszeugnis? Waited 6 weeks now!

A Führungszeugnis is issued by your local Bürgeramt/Bürgerbüro/Bürgerservice (the name might vary depending on the city you live in). Usually it should take around 2 weeks to receive it via post. But this also might vary depending on your location. If you've been waiting for six weeks already, you should get in contact with them and ask them about your case.

Thanks for your answer. I applied for for Aufenthaltserlaubnis because l married to a German. Ausländerbehörde told me that the Authority need to  Approve my Führungszeugnis before they issue me Aufenthaltserlaubnis. This week make it 6 weeks I applied for my Aufenthaltserlaubnis. My wife called Ausländerbehörde today and they said they haven't had from the Above Authority. Please what should l do? Where should I call? Any help. Thanks ln advance..

You should call the authority that you asked to issue your Führungszeugnis. They can probably tell you why the document isn't ready yet.
