Hello @IB

Welcome to our community!

That’s a tricky question. In general, you are not allowed to travel to your home country during (or after) your asylum procedure. You applied for refugee protection because your home country wasn’t able to (or didn’t want to) grant you a life in safety anymore. Going back there basically shows Swedish authorities that the situation can’t be that severe if you can return without facing problems. Your first asylum application is thereby basically withdrawn.

However, we had a similar question circling around the topic of returning home and then applying again in the past. In general it seems to be possible to do so. Please check out the answers provided in this thread for further information as they also apply to your case:

Why did you apply for asylum in the first place if it's safe to go back to your country?

You probably WILL be able to apply again (because Europe is soft and stupid) but whether you should (morally) is entirely another matter.
