I agree with Prince baba. We discussed very similar questions here before. You may want to check this answer for more information as well as this one (regarding the risks of travelling to the home country).
In general, a person with a residence permit according to section 25 (5) can travel within the EU/Schengen area (up to 90 days within 180 days) and to other countries as well, as long as he/she holds valid travel documents (passport) and meets the individual visa requirements etc.
